The late night one stop shop for all Menlo college students is right on campus—the "Old Oak Tavern."
This is the place students can go to get a delicious treat for late night cravings, entertainment and hanging out.
Students can use their FlexDollars or cash to buy snacks. They can watch the game on a huge flat-screen TV. The Tavern doubles as an intimate venue for open-mic nights and live performances from popular entertainers. Upcoming artists and comedians come in and brighten up the stressful lives of student's on-campus as well as off campus.
"I loved being on campus because we received $100 on our student IDs to buy late night snacks and drink," said senior Shawn Winters.
As of the summer of 2011, the tavern received a major make-over with the help of Hewlett-Packard.
The extreme makeover included new covered bench seats that sit along the wall, new love seats and single couches, and tables for those who want to stay and gaze upon the HD flat screen TV.
"The tavern was one of the major spots on campus for all the students to enjoy drink, candy, and various types of snacks and mini-meals," said former employee Jordan Lee.
The Old Oak is open Monday through Saturday from 7-11 p.m.
